Privacy Policy — Digital Dream AI
Effective date: August 22, 2026
Last updated: August 22, 2026
Digital Dream AI is operated by EDTECH MARKET LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in England & Wales under number OC436759, registered office International House, 64 Nile Street, London, N1 7SR, United Kingdom.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Digital Dream AI processes personal data when you use the mobile application, related account and subscription features, public policy/account-deletion pages, and connected backend services.
2. Data we process
Depending on the features you use, we may process:
- account/session identifiers and authentication information;
- your locale, app preferences, reduced-motion and notification preferences;
- dream reports you type or dictate;
- audio recordings created for voice capture;
- raw speech-to-text output, context-assisted output and your corrected transcript;
- AI-generated dream interpretations, themes and derivative visualizations;
- links and similarity signals used to help retrieve related dreams from your own history;
- subscription entitlement and purchase-status information supplied by Apple, Google and/or RevenueCat; we do not receive your full payment-card number from an app-store purchase;
- technical diagnostics, app version, performance/failure events and attribution/marketing data where enabled and legally permitted;
- support communications you send to us.
Dream content may contain highly personal information because you choose what to record. Please avoid including information about other people unless it is necessary for your own record.
3. Why we use data
We process data to provide dream capture, transcription, interpretation, saved history, search and memory features; synchronize/recover your account when enabled; generate requested AI outputs; manage subscription access; secure and debug the Service; provide support; comply with law; and, where permitted, measure product performance and acquisition without placing dream/audio/transcript content in analytics.
4. Legal bases for EEA/UK users
Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, processing may rely on performance of the service contract, compliance with legal obligations, our legitimate interests in security/reliability and product operation where those interests are not overridden by your rights, and consent where the law requires consent. If you choose to provide information that falls into a special category of personal data, additional legal conditions may apply. Optional uses that require explicit consent must not be activated merely because the data appears in a dream report.
5. AI and service providers
Digital Dream AI uses service providers for backend hosting, authentication/storage, speech-to-text, AI interpretation, image generation, subscription management, push delivery, analytics/attribution and crash/performance reporting when those features are enabled. Speech-to-text and dream analysis are performed by OpenAI (OpenAI, L.L.C. / OpenAI Ireland Ltd for EEA users) as a processor: the complete recording is sent to OpenAI only after you stop recording, the final transcript is sent only when you ask for an analysis, and we send no account identifier with either. Our servers keep no copy of the audio; only a cryptographic fingerprint of the file and the result are kept for a short retry window (24 hours by default) so that a retry of the same recording is not billed twice. Check OpenAI's current API data controls for its own retention. The service architecture uses Supabase for backend capabilities, RevenueCat for subscription-entitlement management, AppsFlyer where attribution is enabled, Expo/Apple/Google push infrastructure, and Apple/Google platform services. AI provider selections may change as service quality changes. We maintain a current processor/data-flow register for production providers and update this Policy or required notices when a material change affects users. We do not authorize processors to treat private dream content as public content merely because it is sent for requested processing.
6. Audio and dream-content retention
The product is designed to retain your saved dream corpus until you delete content or your account, subject to legal requirements and product settings. Raw audio is more sensitive and is kept only for the period reasonably necessary to complete the requested transcription, support retry/recovery and maintain the user-selected audio feature, unless a longer period is required by law or explicitly chosen by the user. When raw audio is no longer needed for those purposes, it is deleted or queued for deletion from active storage and relevant processors according to the operational retention schedule. Saved dream text and derivative layers remain until the user deletes them/account data or another disclosed retention rule applies.
7. Security
We use access controls, user-scoped authorization, private storage, server-side provider credentials, transport encryption and other safeguards appropriate to the implementation. No security system is perfect. Provider secret/service credentials are never intended to be embedded in the mobile client.
8. International transfers
Our operator and service providers may be located in different countries. Where EEA/UK transfer rules apply, transfers must use an applicable legal mechanism such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards, with supplementary assessment/measures where required. The production processor/transfer map is maintained as a release requirement.
9. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and may withdraw consent for processing that is based on consent. You can delete individual saved content through product features when available and can initiate account deletion from within the app once accounts are enabled. Google Play distribution also requires a public web path for account-deletion requests.
Contact support@learnaiwise.com for privacy requests. We may need to verify that the request relates to your account.
10. Account deletion and subscriptions
Deleting your Digital Dream AI account is separate from cancelling an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. Account deletion does not by itself guarantee that store billing stops. The app must direct you to the relevant store subscription-management flow before or during deletion when an active subscription exists.
11. Children
The Service is not designed as a child-directed service. Users must satisfy the minimum age and consent requirements applicable to their jurisdiction and store/account context. We do not intentionally design dream-content profiling for children without the additional protections and product decisions required by law.
12. Automated/AI output
AI interpretation and visualization are provided as generated or assisted content. They are not a psychological diagnosis, medical advice, prophecy, or evidence of what objectively occurred in a dream. The original user report remains the provenance anchor; derivative AI imagery is not a literal reconstruction.
13. Changes
We may update this Policy as the product, providers or law change. The app and public policy page must expose the current effective version; material changes that require renewed notice/consent will follow the applicable legal process.
